Premiere League Fixtures/Results

Sturt Sabres Basketball Club enters both a men's and women's team into the Basketball SA Premier League

The 2016 Premier League is shaping up to be a big year with an array of new coaches and players, as well as double headers and special rounds, with all elements contributing to create greater coverage and improving the overall profile of the league.

2016 will feature a split blockbuster round with an exciting weekend of games – all women’s games for the round to be played on Saturday, 9 April at Wayville Sports Centre and all men’s games for the round to be played on Sunday, 10 April at Pasadena Sports Centre. The blockbuster round provides a great opportunity for players, spectators, coaches and the like to enjoy two full days of games across that weekend.

Additionally, the league Clubs and the community demonstrated fantastic support for the Anzac Day round in 2015 and as such this will again be a highlight of this season. All games have been scheduled to play on Anzac Day this year with the Spirit Medal awarded to the player who shows the most overall team spirit in each game.

The 2016 Premier League kicks off on Friday, 11 March and will host 21 rounds with the Grand Final scheduled for 10 September at Titanium Security Arena.
